Appliance Pickup and Delivery in Dubai for Fridges, Washing Machines and Cookers

Fridge Stuck at a Seller’s? Appliances Delivery Dubai

Bought a fridge or washing machine and have no vehicle to bring it home? We collect it from the seller, store, or repair shop and deliver it to your door. No full home move is required.

Same day fridge delivery may be possible, so message us early. Send a photo, both addresses, and the floors, and we will confirm the price before you book.

Quick Answers

Is same day fridge delivery available in Dubai? Sometimes. It depends on vehicle availability, route, building access, and whether the fridge is ready to go. For urgent fridge delivery, message us early with a photo and both addresses.

How long should a fridge stand before I switch it on? For an upright move, most manufacturers suggest roughly 2 to 4 hours. If it was tilted or laid down, wait longer (often 8 to 24 hours) and check the manual.

Is installation included? No. Delivery moves the appliance. Plumbing, gas fitting, and hookup are separate jobs for a qualified technician.

How much does it cost? It depends on size, floors, lift access, distance, waiting time, and urgency. See the cost table below. We confirm the price before you book.

Fridge Pickup and Delivery

Fridge pick up and delivery is the appliance job most often needed urgently, and the one where preparation matters most. We collect refrigerators and fridge-freezers from sellers, stores, repair shops and homes. Refrigerator delivery to your apartment or villa then depends on the access checks below.

Before we arrive

01

Empty it completely. Food adds weight and causes leaks and smell.

02

Unplug it in advance. Large freezers need longer to defrost.

03

Defrost and dry the inside so meltwater does not reach the vehicle or lift.

04

Tape or remove loose shelves and drawers.

Can a fridge be transported lying down?

Upright is best. The compressor contains oil, and manufacturers such as LG warn that tilting a fridge can send that oil the wrong way and cause a fault if the unit is switched on straight away. If a fridge must travel on its side, check the manual, keep the time short and tell us before booking so it is planned.

How long should you wait before plugging it in?

Manufacturer guidance varies, so treat this as a range and follow your manual:

How it travelled
Typical wait before switching on
Upright
About 2 to 4 hours (LG and Midea both give this range)
Tilted or laid down
Longer, commonly 8 to 24 hours
Large American-style fridge
Often towards the longer end
Switching on too early is a common cause of weak cooling and strange noises after a move.

Wide fridges and tight routes

Side-by-side and French-door refrigerators can be wider than the apartment door or lift, which can turn a straightforward refrigerator delivery into an access problem. Measure the narrowest point on the route and compare it with the fridge width including handles. Where the manual allows, doors or handles can be removed to get through. For a complete route check, see our furniture measuring guide for Dubai deliveries.

Washing Machine and Dryer Pickup and Delivery

For washing machine delivery, the step people miss is the transit bolts. These lock the drum so it does not swing and damage the suspension during transport. Many second-hand machines have lost them. Ask the seller if they are fitted, and tell us if they are missing so the drum can be secured another way.

Also:

  • Disconnect power and water, and drain the hoses and drain pump area before pickup.
  • Keep the door closed and tape it.
  • Tell us if it is a top loader or front loader, and whether it is stacked on a dryer.

Heavy front loaders and stacked units usually need more than one person. Mention this when you request a quote.

Ovens, Cookers and Dishwashers

Gas cookers must be disconnected by a qualified technician before pickup. We do not disconnect gas. A cooker is also set up for a specific gas type, so a unit from another property may need adjusting before it is safe to use at your address. Ask a technician.

Electric ovens and hobs are simpler. Remove loose racks and trays and protect the glass door and control panel.

Dishwashers are narrow but heavy, and the door and racks are fragile. Disconnect power and water, drain the hoses, and keep the unit upright.

The rest of the pre-purchase checklist

Ask the seller:

  • Exact pickup address and floor, and whether there’s a working lift
  • Is the appliance already disconnected?
  • Dimensions, and will it clear the building entrance?
  • Parking near the entrance?
  • Does the pickup building need NOC notice, and has the seller sorted theirs?

Ask for photos of the rating label and the route out of the property. Those two checks prevent most failed or regretted pickups.

Buying a Used Appliance From Dubizzle? Check These Before Pickup

Finding the appliance is only part of the job. Before paying the seller, check that it will work in Dubai and that you know what you are actually buying.

  • Check the voltage label. Dubai uses 230V, 50Hz and Type G sockets. Appliances rated only for 110 to 120V may need a suitable transformer and should be checked before purchase.

  • See it running. Test the appliance where possible. For a fridge, check that it cools properly and that the door seals are in good condition.

  • Check the model number. It can help you confirm the appliance’s size, specifications, parts and manual.

  • Look for leaks, rust or unusual smells. Check underneath washing machines and other appliances for signs of damage or previous leaks.

  • Ask about service history. Any available repair or maintenance records can help you judge the appliance before buying.

  • Take photos before pickup. Photograph the appliance and its condition before it is loaded, especially when buying second-hand.

We can collect and deliver the appliance, but checking its condition, voltage compatibility and working condition before you pay the seller is your responsibility.

Will It Fit? Doors, Lifts, and Kitchen Space

An appliance that fits the kitchen can still fail at the lift door. Measure:

  1. The appliance at its widest and deepest point, including handles.
  2. The apartment door and any tight corridor turns.
  3. The lift door and cabin, and whether a service lift is available.
  4. The kitchen gap, including space around it for ventilation.

If it is a close call, send photos and measurements before booking.

Delivery vs Installation

Our service moves the appliance to your address. Installation is a separate job and not included with delivery. That covers plumbing, hookup, levelling, gas connection, and power fitting.

  • Washing machines and dishwashers: a plumber or technician connects the water inlet and drain.
  • Gas cookers: use a qualified gas technician.
  • Fridges: place and level them, then wait before switching on.

If you need an installer, arrange the visit to match the delivery time so the appliance is not left in a doorway.

Appliance to a Repair Shop and Back

A broken fridge or washer often needs to go to a repair centre and return. We can arrange this as a round trip. Tell us the pickup address, the repair shop address and when the shop expects the item, so the collection and return are planned togethe

Retailer Delivery or Independent Pickup?

For a standard new purchase, check the retailer’s own delivery first. Retailer same-day delivery usually has an order cut-off time and some excluded areas, so it will not suit every job.

Independent pickup suits you when:

  • You buy second-hand from a private seller
  • You collect from a store or warehouse yourself
  • You miss the retailer’s cut-off or need a different slot
  • You want delivery to a different address from the one on the order
  • You need an appliance moved between two homes or to a repair shop

Same Day Fridge Delivery and Urgent Appliance Jobs

A broken fridge, or one needed before a move-in, is the most common urgent request. Same day fridge delivery, fridge delivery today and same day washing machine delivery may be possible depending on vehicle and crew availability, route, building access and the time of your request. To move quickly: Message us as soon as the appliance is confirmed ready. Send the type, a photo, both addresses and floors. Confirm the seller or store can hand it over at the pickup time. Write "urgent fridge delivery" (or "urgent") in your first message with your deadline. If a seller needs time or a building needs notice, next-day is often smoother than a rushed same-day job. We will tell you what is realistic rather than promise a time that does not fit.

What Affects Appliance Delivery Cost in Dubai

There is no single price for every job. The cost depends on:

Factor

Why it matters

Appliance size and weight

Double-door fridges and washer-dryer stacks need more handling

Number of items

More pieces can change the vehicle and crew

Distance

The route between pickup and delivery

Floors, lift and stairs

Stairs add handling time

Parking and carry distance

Long carries take extra time

Waiting time

Delays at pickup affect the job

Urgency

Same-day depends on availability

Extra stops

Another pickup or delivery point changes the route

Ask every provider these questions when comparing quotes:

  • Does the price cover the actual floors and stairs?
  • Is waiting time included?
  • Are two helpers included for a heavy unit?
  • Is installation included or separate?
  • A low starting price can rise once these are added. Use our [furniture delivery cost calculator] to see which factors apply to your job.

What to Send for an Appliance Quote

  • Appliance type, brand and model (a photo of the label works)
  • Approximate size or model number
  • Pickup and delivery addresses
  • Floor and lift or stairs at both ends
  • Whether it is already unplugged, emptied, defrosted or disconnected
  • Preferred date and time, and whether it is urgent

Example WhatsApp message

Item: Double-door fridge, Samsung. Pickup: Seller, Al Barsha, 2nd floor, lift. Delivery: Apartment, JLT, 10th floor, lift. Time: today by 6 pm. Photo attached.

That gives us far more to work with than “How much for a fridge?”

Buildings and Access in Dubai

Many apartment towers have service lifts, loading bays, and delivery rules. Check with building management before booking. Ask about delivery hours, whether a lift booking or security pass is needed, and where a vehicle can park. If there is no lift, tell us the floor and the appliance type, because stairs change the crew and handling for heavy units.

Common Appliances Delivery Dubai Mistakes

  • Leaving food or water inside. Empty and defrost the appliance first.
  • Switching a fridge on straight away. Let it stand upright first.
  • Forgetting the washing machine transit bolts. Secure the drum before pickup.
  • Skipping measurements. Check the door, lift and kitchen gap.
  • Assuming delivery includes installation. Arrange a technician separately.
  • Buying a used appliance unseen. See it running before you pay.
  • Ignoring the voltage label. Confirm it is rated for 230V.

Frequently Asked Questions About Appliances Delivery Dubai

Yes, a single fridge, washer, dryer, cooker, or dishwasher can be moved without a full property move.

Photograph it and contact us promptly so the situation can be reviewed. Photos taken at pickup make this much easier.

Yes, whenever the appliance is ready for collection and the access conditions are suitable.

Not safely without a step-down transformer. The UAE runs on 230V; most US and Japanese household appliances are built for 110 to 120V. Check the rating label before you buy.

Not as standard. Gas and refrigerant work need a licensed specialist. Confirm the required service before booking so we can coordinate it.

We can haul it away if you arrange it in advance, or you can use Dubai Municipality's free bulk-waste service by calling 800900.

Check with them. Rules vary by building. Some require lift bookings, delivery slots or security passes, and finding out early avoids delays at the door.

No. Empty it first. Food adds weight and causes leaks, smell and spoiled stock in a hot vehicle.
